| | | | | 1956 Buick Special
| # Doors : | 4 | Ext. Color : | Green/White | Int. Color : | Two Tone Green | Engine : | 322 cu.in | Transmission : | Automatic | Description :
a 1956 Buick Special. It is a 4 door Hardtop. The car sports a 322 cu.in V-8 and a Dynaflow transmission. It is an original car, never painted. It came out of Powell Wyoming in or around 2000. It also has power steering (I converted it from standard) , and standard brakes. The car was stored since 1960 and found its way to Canada via the late David Kerr and Norm Pickering as a parts car for a ROADMASTER that they brought back...I think thats how you spell Norms name. I purchased the car in March 2005 and yanked the plant out to investigate why it was seized. I replaced one piston , renewed the rings and gaskets, and road tested it for the first time in May 2005. Everything worked in the car from the first time I hooked up the battery. The cigarette lighter, all the lights including the dashboard map light, and back-up lights still work. Even the original SONOMATIC am radio works. It sounds rough but still picks up all the local am stations. I am in the final stages of some interior work, including seat covers, headliner and new carpet. It is a nice solid old car and fun to drive. |

| | | | | 1971 Chevy Monte Carlo
| # Doors : | 2 | Ext. Color : | Gold | Int. Color : | White | Engine : | 350 V8 | Transmission : | Automatic | Description :
I bought the car from the original owner in Ellsworth, Maine in May 1995. It had 47,000 original miles on it. It was driven from Ellsworth and parked for the summer in Florida and driven back in the fall and stored every year for 24 years and maintained by the same service station in Ellsworth every year before the trip south. The car has power and tilt steering, power windows, and a 350 turbo fire engine. I had the interior redone and the car painted in 2005. |
